Introduction

"New Future with Infinite Horizon" was chosen by AUO as its theme for Touch Taiwan 2022. AUO will showcase a whole series of proprietary technologies and applications, including the industry-leading adoption of cutting-edge display technologies to home entertainment, mobility, commercial and medical applications and will demonstrate its leading position to drive innovative field applications and form the industry ecosystems. Successful cases of AUO's green solutions will also be exhibited.

ALED Display

AUO's ALED is powered by its unique driver technology that offers exquisite picture quality with high dynamic contrast. Its high efficiency, high reliability, self-luminosity without the need for backlighting offer advantages such as energy saving, a small footprint in terms of dimensions, and high durability. It has great potential for applications ranging from large commercial advertisement boards, entertainment devices, home TVs, smart vehicles, and wearable consumer electronics.

With a modular design, the ALED display can be freely connected to form large screens or curved screens and create stunning visual effects and 3D simulations that immerse the viewers in the settings. They will become the newest secret weapons for top commercial spaces or smart command centers. They can also be used to set up digital filming scenes or simulated training scenarios in the post-pandemic era when actual onsite filming is not feasible.

AUO's Micro LED is created with the self-luminous active matrix low temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) process to display unique high dynamic contrast performance and vivid colors with high saturation. For smart cockpits, AUO launched a display solution that perfectly integrates with the vehicle trim and a scrollable display technology with versatile stretchable display technology.

Entertainment

AUO's professional gaming desktop displays and laptop panels come with curved panels, high frame rate, and AmLED next-generation dynamic Mini LED backlighting display technology to meet the demand of top gamers with a comprehensive product line.

The latest high-resolution gaming panel uses variable refresh rates (VRR) to create high frame rates. Products with the advanced reflectionless technology (A.R.T.) use special surface structures and extra low-reflectivity coating to effectively reduce scattered light that would cause eye fatigue and thus protect users' eyes. An independent special area was set up to showcase the new advancements in the use of the AmLED technology that can be used to create beautiful HDR and ultra-high contrast in gaming and vehicle applications.

Smart Vehicles

AUO demonstrated its capacity for the research and development of large high-definition automotive panels which integrate flat surface lamination, free-form, touch solutions, and switchable privacy technologies to showcase the latest developments in automotive products for the future. In addition to the outstanding image quality, AUO also demonstrated its capacity for IoV systems and provided a comprehensive view of future vehicle technologies in the form of smart cockpits, scooters, and bicycles.

Commercial

AUO has implemented several state-of-the-art technologies in commercial applications, including the largest oTP Lite lightweight integrated touch solution, TARTAN ultra-wide desktop display, advanced integrated touch solutions, switchable dual-monitor display, and other advanced panel solutions for high-end laptop computers.

Medical

Its leading display technologies are also used in medical display solutions including medical diagnosis panels with advanced reflectionless technology (A.R.T.), and professional panels for surgical applications with Mini LED area control technology and ultra-high contrast. A diverse range of sensing components for medical applications were also on display, including advanced technologies such as X-ray and ultrasound detection devices.

Made with excellent sound-proof materials, automatic light-adjusting glass panels, and complemented by an easy-to-use booking system and plug-and-play video conferencing facilities, this The Smart Mobile Office Cabin Solution offers users a noise-free and interference-free environment, where they can conduct discussions and meetings at any time for improved work efficiency. It has a built-in smart environmental control system, which improves the operation efficiency of enterprises or shared space operation. It is also equipped with a digital signage and a digital content playback management system to activate push communication of customized messages as an alternative marketing tool.

Smart Surgical Data Integrated Solution

Joint with ADLINK and imedtac, AUO Display Plus showcases the smart surgical data integrated solution to tackle the problems of physiological data and medical images being variously sourced and singularly presented. This smart solution provides instinctive and multifunctional operation interface on one platform. By connecting with equipment in surgical rooms and hospitals’ internally compiled information system, this smart solution can speedily integrate a patient’s physiological data and surgical images to help surgical teams access any information needed at any time. It also features timeline bookmarking for use of medication and key sections in a surgery during the recording process to quickly capture, and save important surgical images and record/access/present notes on the file concerning the surgical procedures.

Educational Space Management

As learning environments and teaching practices are becoming more and more pliant and diversified, they are also making it more challenging to effectively manage school spaces. AUO Display Plus partners with Qbic to exhibit the Educational space Management Solution that provides a more user-friendly reservation system for library seating and research discussion rooms. On the space management platform, teachers and students can check space availability in real-time via the touch screen and quickly find available seats or discussion rooms, as well as making online reservations and check-ins using sensor magnetic cards or email accounts.

Moreover, in respond to the rising demand for hybrid teaching and remote learning, AUO Display Plus partners with Wisdom Garden to launch a Remote Education Solution that features a four-in-one video conferencing device integrated with a touch screen panel, video camera, microphone and speakers. Paired with a learning platform for remote education, it enables teachers and students to interact through touch screen with no fuss. Not only does it support a mobile classroom, but it also takes care of all the software/hardware device set-up hurdles in conducting remote teaching to greatly improve the convenience of remote teaching
